I'm looking for a place to inspire me and my novel - found it here in 56 Hotel - it's a bit secluded from the main road if you're the not familiar with Kuching [or driving your own]. Room rate inclusive breakfast. No deposit needed.
The building located at Jalan Tun Jugah - behind Bank Islam, Hong Leong Bank, Celcom Blue Cube and 7E Store.
~> 15mins [Driving] from Kuching International Airport
~> 20mins [Driving] from Kuching City Centre
~> 15mins [Walk] | 5mins [Driving] to CityOne Megamall - Cinema/Food/Gadget/Clothing
~> 15mins [Walk] | 5mins [Driving] to Brighton Square - Food Outlets
~> Borneo Medical Centre - Nearby.

About the hotel :
~> It's very straightforward - reception counter when you enter from the main entrance.
~> A coffee house and elevator are on your left from the reception counter.
~> It's very clean hotel with clear signage.
~> For muslim - there is a surau [prayer room] at level 3.
~> Parking available [i saw they close the gate at midnight]
~> 24hr Convenience store just nearby.
~> Daytime - lots of food outlet nearby.
~> A coffee house and elevator are on your left from the reception counter.
~> It's very clean hotel with clear signage.
~> For muslim - there is a surau [prayer room] at level 3.
~> Parking available [i saw they close the gate at midnight]
~> 24hr Convenience store just nearby.
~> Daytime - lots of food outlet nearby.
About the room [Twin Single Bed]:
~> Clean room with Day and Night curtains
~> I love the size of room but if you have big baggage - the room will be crowded.
~> Basic amenities for toiletries - towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, toothbrush etc.
~> FlatScreen TV with cable channels
~> Coffee and Tea facilities
~> Love the bed! Very comfy...
~> Air conditioner is working
~> A small working table cum vanity table
~> A nice size cupboard with hangers and iron
~> Power socket - in case you need to charge your devices.
~> My room was facing the main road/ level 4 - facing the shophouses - a bit noisy if you open the window for fresh air.
~> Wifi in room.
[Perhaps opt for room facing vivacity/ housing area for lesser noise]
~> Room service menu available

For staying in a hotel, criteria i have to chose is: cleanliness, comfy bed, affordable, smile to every guest and gooood food. The view? Forget it. Haha..
