Nope... I didn't turn into a zombie.. [refering to the Left 4 Dead montage]
...it never ceases my craziness about this game [Left 4 Dead 1 or 2]... and that's not what I want to tell you all in this entry...

(:::[ ]:::)  (:::[ ]:::)  (:::[ ]:::)

Salaam... [May Peace Be Upon You]

This is my story where I came across the possibility of the H1N1 virus. It's a pandemic virus which associates with Swine Flu and Bird Flu. What I know it's dangerous and might be caused by death.

(:::[ ]:::) 27th April 2010 (:::[ ]:::)

Since the morning I was sneezing non-stop.. not sure what caused it. By evening, it gets worse... due to an upcoming event (One of the biggest event in my life! Click Here to know more...) I've taken 2 nos of paracetamol and go to sleep.

(:::[ ]:::) 28th April 2010 (:::[ ]:::)

Woke up around 5:30 am. After taking a leak, suddenly my right arms feel numb or like muscle cramps. My body still does not feel any better. After a while, my left arms started to feels the same. I seriously don't know what actually is happening to me and there was no one around (home alone for 3 days...) so with all my strength that I got left - refresh myself, tidy a bit the house and drove myself to the emergency at the hospital...

First at something called triage - sorry I'm not familiar with medical terms. The first diagnosis told me - I got a really high fever and I have to go to the Red Zone area (i didn't know before that this is to identify which 'Zone' level of sickness are and for them to identify how to act after that - I think red for REAL emergency...)

After that, my blood pressure and temperature are taken again...

More 'ice cream' sticks enter my mouth. This time more serious movement happen. Going for X-ray. My blood sample is taken. My fever is still very high too, they told me that I will be admitted as ILI [Influenza-Like-Illness] on the Isolation ward and they need to do the follow up due to H1N1. They asked about where was I and who stay with me at the moment. They started with Tami-flu and an IV drip is punched on my wrist. Oxygen was given half an hour afterwards [i think] and I slowly fade away. I don't know if the medicine but all I know a few hours later, it's already 9 or 10am. I just realized that my boss and my parents didn't know about me yet.

After a few text messages back and forth - I've arrived at the Isolation Ward. The moment I step in (yes, I still manage to walk with IV drip hahaha... even the nurse insist me to sit in the wheelchair or stretcher).

I saw 2 or 3 nurses in hurry do this and that, I thought there's an emergency or something but actually to get ready for my area. They also wearing super-full protection I never see before. I was like...,

Yup, they wear few layers of gloves, a plastic apron, face mask, medical gown or suit I don't know what the name of it and before they enter my room - they will need to prep themself with those in a room between my room and the corridor, sanitise then enter. Same when they came out of my room, they need to take out everything but left the last layer of gloves, plastic apron, face mask before out to the corridor. Not just the nurse, even from the doctor to cleaner need to go through the same process.

Anyway, Isolation Ward..urmm, well.. as it's named already.. so yes, all patients will be in individual room. Mine was Room number 6. From that moment, I face a new experience in my life... Hospitalized!

Every hour a nurse will come in and take a drop or two of my blood. There's more bag with clear liquid hanging above me. A tube was attached to my nose. Something was clipped on my finger... (i think it's to monitor my oxygen level) and more blood sample taken. My throat has been invaded by a swab (to test for H1N1). Very very painful experience. I can't have any visitor - cant even eats yet.. instead, I only can drink plain water for the first 24 hours.

I remember seeing my Mader [read: Mother] peeping from a window outside the isolation ward as no visitor can enter the room. I can't get up at that time due to all the tube and whatever wires on me. I only can see a little bit of my Mader [Read: Mother] which is from eyes above. It's heartbreaking, I cant hear my Mader's voice as the room is sound-proof. I make a call to my big bro and speak to my Mader asking for her forgiveness and say my gratitude for all her hardship just in case I won't make it alive.

Seems that the room was freaking quiet - napping is the only solutions for now.  That's the only way to stop the tears.

Little that I know, it's a long night for me...

(:::[ ]:::) 29th April 2010 (:::[ ]:::)

Still on treatment as ILI [Influenza-Like-Illness] patient. One of the most painful experience was when the Antibiotic is injected through the IV tube... Perrggghhh~ and of course when they need to pierce a small tiny blade to get a drop of blood for a sample. If just once, I can deal with it but for every hour?? Can't lied to say it DOES hurt!

In the morning, my fever still high!

The doctor does round checking and ask me to rest and drink water.

I just kept praying to Mercy Allah with the hope that my H1N1 test will turn negative and my health will getting better.

By evening, Alhamdulillah it's getting better I think as the oxygen tube was taken away. Less liquid enter my body and my throat swab result came out negative. Alhamdulillah and Thank you, Allah!

Even the nurse who told me the news also was very happy because ever since she took care of me, she has to take really good precaution for herself. She has to take bath before go home and check on herself just in case.

Then thing started to get better, I can start eating as normal, can take bath. Thanks to my Mader, even she can't meet me - she still sends some books for me to read. Yet, I did cry when the doctor told me that I won't be able to discharge soon. I was frustrated. I can say 'bye bye' to my vacation with my best friend, there's no chance to attend the concert that I've had longed for and looking forward to going to.. and worst-case scenario - I MISS MY MADER! (it's been 4 days since the last time I saw my mum...)

That night, there's still nothing I can do but reading and sleep.

(:::[ ]:::) 30th April 2010 (:::[ ]:::)

what's left...

More good news. The doctor told me I'm officially H1N1 free. My fever really now gone. Blood pressure - normal. My ECG - normal and I can be discharged today and go vacay! Yay, in addition to my good news - I don't need to quarantine myself.. more yay!!

By 4.30pm I'm out of there..!!

By the way, as a blood donor, the hospital bill is waived! Alhamdulillah.

(:::[ ]:::) Treated Well (:::[ ]:::)

I'm so thankful to all staff nurses especially whoever involved in Room 6 from 28th April 2010 until 30th April 2010 for taking very good care of me. Always give me hope to recover. Friendliness touched my heart dearly...

I remember I once asked one of the staff nurses their name, she suddenly turned animated. Imagine a stranger covered in lots of plastic apron and outfits, latex gloves, masked face and medical hair cap - invaded your room, taking your blood...

Alienated?

LOL... That's why she suddenly became animated.., laughing for not introducing herself. It's aight, still my heroes you all. Lalalala~♥

(Picture of my sister...)

So in conjunction with Nurses' Day... I would love to extend my Thank You to all Nurses in the world - especially to my sister (she is a Staff Nurse too) and the Nurses that took care of me...

*:. ✿ ✿.:* (:::[ ]:::) Happy Nurses' Day!! (:::[ ]:::) *:.✿ ✿ .:*

Your kindness and tenderness care are never repaid! Keep up the good work!

Thank you once again!

NTGravity: try to take care of my health... I hope~

\m/(>.<)\m/ I love Search... I love Wings... \m/(>.<)\m/

Since I was a little girl until now (I'm 30....) I've been listening to their music... I didn't have the chance to buy most of their albums (well I'm not money independence yet, got to borrow from friends...but when I've had grow up it's kinda too late...) but I've still listened to all of their songs. Although I've grown to be a normal soft-hearted woman I know i am a Rockers at heart... hahaha...

I started to admired Search from their "Langit dan Bumi" album.. and my favourite was the "Fenomena" album.. a real phenomenon!! While Wings, I started to know them by their "Belenggu Irama" album.. but my favourite of all time was the "Jerangkung Dalam almari"...

I've met Amy Search and Awie Wings on separated occasions and heard them both sung but...

... I never been to any of their concerts... I never been to A concert even...

...ok I lied..

...my first concert was KRU (AWAS tour) but that's a different story...

\m/(>.<)\m/ ~ By Passing My Head ~ \m/(>.<)\m/

It all started spontaneously..., I'm planning to celebrate my 10years friendship with my friend... thought of a vacation together in Kuching only so I've started to surf in the net of hotel or places that might interest us. Come across to a forum name "Lagenda Rock Online" - read about a concert that will be held on the 1st May... Instantly I made up my mind... well it's a Double Trouble concert after all!! Both of us loves it so it might a great experience...

Bought the concert ticket 10days before the date and waited patiently...

Imagine..., 3 days before the concert - I was admitted to hospital due to high fever (no worries I'm negative of H1N1 and more story about it here) - I was almost giving up by asking my sister to offer the ticket to anybody interested to go... Luckily I am ok and was discharged 3 hours before departure time~! I personally think about it because of my high spirited to go to this concert...hahaha~! Actually thanks to Allah SWT for listening to my prayer...

So~

\m/(>.<)\m/ ~ The Concert... ~ \m/(>.<)\m/

I've planned to be there as early as 5pm.. thought that will be just the two of us (LOL that is so naive thinking...) Certainly, we are not alone... Hundreds of people are already there... Cars parking along the main road are the witness... (Anyways thanks to my sister for dropping us there...)

Don't know what to do first.., so we just go and grab some t-shirt and tag... merely as souvenirs...

After more than 20mins later we are allowed to enter the indoor stadium... (actually after we've finished our burger by force, seems that "outside food and drinks" are not allowed to bring in... also umbrella and camera... BUMMER!!)

i can proudly say that we are amongst the 'early bird' that grab the front seats... yep, the area that close to the stage... thanks to my friendly mouth - made a few friends in there...

Dj Isma Halil Hamzah was on duty - thanks to him - it seems worth the wait... hahaha... if not, we probably already start to move away or grab some more food and risked our 'hot seats'.. lalala~♥ (BUT why the camera keeps focusing on a beautiful woman.. so, an ugly woman like me doesn't stand a chance laa??!!! LOL...)

Anyways... after 7pm, crowds are multiplying... suddenly everybody stands up - so till then we started our standing position - temperature rising, situations getting more packed, the chest is getting tight ('thanks' to whoever smokes after that...) My wish to do a Mexican Wave with my friend came true when more people tried to join the standing crowd and pushing back and front... Honestly, I was a bit regret due to this situation... but when the first guitar solo came in... the lights are dimmed I know it's worth being in the seas of people...

After the curtains fall - more people start to rush in front which very very uncomfortable (well nothing comfortable in concert I've learned about it on the first time... hahaha)... I've parted from my friend (whom at the same time flirting with a guy.. hahaha...) so, here I am on the other side of people when My favourite song,"Gemuruh" is started!! I sang along out loud carelessly. (carelessly in terms of don't care what people next to me thinking.. hahaha...) Only managed to shoot a video on this song... I couldn't take risks when people started jumping and pushing...

Search starts off with "Paranoid Android" and "Analogi 0.1"... Perrgghhhh~!!! Felt like the good ol' days!
after that, Wings take over and sang "Puisi Merdeka" and "Gema Di Inderaloka".. I've sung along like there's a 'karaoke wordings' in front... LOL... not forgetting headbanging and do 'Bird Flying' gesture after that....

(also kept on bumping elbows or other parts of the anatomy to people who surrounded me but all forgiven easily... I remember a guy - he bumped his hand on my head - makes me lagged for few seconds LOL... but it's ok... So kind we are, yes? Hopefully, it will be practised outside of the arena... :) )

Finally, My friend joined back again. Too bad, I'm still in bad condition (recovery from my almost H1N1 fever) and somebody way bigger than me has overtaken me and block my view ever since... After Wings played the "Alam Barzakh" song - we have to swim out from the area... way out until outside of the concert... LOL~!! the moment I reach the other side of the arena - phewww~!! fresh air!!! No more tight chest! (and vow to help keep the air clean next time... hahahaha)

Nope. No regret there... Even though we just listening from outside the arena but we have no regret at all for not being in until the end... it's better than passed out inside... Beside meet more new friends who also big fans of the two legends...

While at it - I've signed up for Wings Fan Club and grab more drinks (which my mistake at first...) Sitting at the car park while chitchatting with other fans and sometimes sing-a-long again on medleys (Anyway.., some of the fans are unfortunate - not even have the chance to enter the arena..)

15mins before the concert is done - we've already at the entrance gate to go home.... and waited for our ride home (tried to get a cab was a 4stars difficulty...hahaha)

....once get into our room, both of us are too exhausted to even talked about it... hahahaa~ take a raincheck and postponed it on breakfast..!! that's how low our energy is...

\m/(>.<)\m/ Overall - on my view \m/(>.<)\m/

I can't comment on how skilled the other band members of Search and Wings because I am not a musician and didn't see most of it..but I know I love the music they've played - although I've heard on earlier songs - something like overrun music plus Amy seems to forget some lyric which doesn't matter to me.. we're human and tends to make mistake...

Awie should get more credit for his voice and showmanship.. which I kept thinking that he will not make it to the high notes (due to his physical change and his twice tonsil's surgery) but he DID IT! and did it really well... even though I'm sitting outside, I've heard him clearly (clearly?? LOL...) and I was turned back time when I heard him sang most of Wings songs... Hail to Awie~!!! *love you, bro...♥*

For Amy, I got no doubt on him plus I can proudly say in his fifties he still got the energies to rock on the night like he was back 17 years before. Salute~!!! *love you too, bro♥*

Both band members also should be acknowledged too for the great music.. and finally, both bands should be given huge applause and a standing ovation (which they already got for the last 2 and plus hours by the fans...) Sorry to say to the other concerts that night... Legends will always be the Legends...

Oh yeah, please next time - not this venue... too small for 20k people and the ventilation and aircon's or fans seems not doing it best and the location, well, I'm from Kuching so I don't know where else suitable but after trying so hard to get a cab back to the hotel - I think it's not the best place for a big concert like this...

As for myself....,

Moral of this story :

1. stand by at least a bottle of water...

2. wear safety shoes... if wanted  to join the front liner (front of the stage)

3. at least jogging maybe a month before the concert ( for stamina to jump with the crowd or even to be push by the wave of crowds.. :P )

4. take good care of health

5. booked or charted a taxi or transportation to send home... A MUST~!

6. practice standing for a very long period... (again...., jumping is an advantage!!)

7. practice smelling bad odour or sweat... Elevator or public toilets might be a good start (..and hopefully till then your nose might immune to that smell.. hahaha)

8. practice to seat on the floor for a long period

9. search for the lyrics or surf youtube for the song and try to remember it...

10. get yourself an oxygen tank... hahahaha... ok scratch that...!

NTGravity: Looking forward to next time... :) Oh yeah, remember when we tried to 'swim' our way out for fresh air...

Haiiit~~!!!
