Rainforest World Music Festival 2012 is coming to town..!

The last time I went to the Rainforest World Music Festival was 6 years ago with my ex boyfriend - it was superb and you can enjoy it any style you like. Picnic by the lake or join the massive crowd at the main stage area. Really good times! As far as I know now the facilities are much better.

Obviously, it's back for the 15th edition which will be held from the 13th to 15th July 2012. Grab tix now! <-- extra 1 for me okay? サンキュゥ♪(o ̄∇ ̄)/

I was at Fullhouse, The Hills Shopping Mall (anyway, it's the so-very nice place!! I've fallen in love with the interiors instantly!)

for a press conference by Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) regarding the upcoming Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF). STB has taken up advertisements on three of City Public Link buses which will be plying the city from now until the festival. Their hope to create an air of festivity and at the same time to remind the general public of this iconic event which is not be missed.

City Public Link has organised public shuttles and special packages during this period. The shuttle services will be centralized at The Hill before moving to Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites and then proceed to Sarawak Cultural Village on the three-date of this yearly major event from 10am till 12.30am. STB also urge other operators as well to emulate the example and to be creative in coming up with such noble ways to assist STB in its efforts towards the greening of the festival.

Quoting from CEO of STB, YB Dato Rashid Khan speech -  it's not only to create awareness to the local but also to give the visitors 5 Stars experience while sitting in a bus together with the local. At the same time to help reduce the pollution and congestion during the event.

Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) has worked towards the greening of both the Borneo Jazz and the Rainforest World Music Festival by trying its best to ensure that the vendors at the food and village mart use green products and adopt green practices. Similarly, by encouraging the use of public shuttles, there would fewer cars being driven the more reduced carbon monoxide emissions in getting visitors to the festival.

After the press conference, we are all invited to view the buses with RWMF ads...

NTGravity : My 2cents, I think this is a great idea - less headache on the road, searching for parking, begging session with guards at hotels nearby, the safety of our vehicles, even safety to ourselves when we drive back to the city. Jalan gelap woooo~!!! Heheheh
