Oº°‘¨ 10th October 2014 ¨‘°ºO
Although i'm super excited and looking forward for this trip - i woke up late!! #facepalm
Luckily, i'm all packed and ready to go. My flight is 7am, imagine this, checked in my baggage at 6.45am. By the time i've reached departure gate - mostly passengers already onboard! I'm soooo thankful my boarding is not denied...
The pilot on this flight didnt talked much compared to the other flight to Miri (back in July), almost the same time - the pilot are so cheerful. He'd greeted us and told us about weather in Miri. Before we take off, the pilot told us that in 3 minutes time there is a plane is about to landed and asked us to looked at left windows. Within the thick morning haze, a plane appeared. Soon after that we were told that we going to take off now.
I kinda like it... more fun right? Don't you think?
Although still very sleepy, i managed to chat a bit with an elderly couple that going for honeymoon next to my seat (dem jealous here!) before dozed off. Feels like a second later, a flight steward woke me up with my food ready. All sponsored by Hotlink.

Anyways, one hour and forty minutes later - landed in KLIA2. My first time here since its opening. Really huge, i think four times larger than the previous LCCT.
My only concerns there is no walking conveyor (but the airport staff have they own rides on that cool segway) Its gonna give problem to the elders or person with disabilities of long distance walking. Seriously! After disembarked to our baggage reclaimed hall, it's so far as it's located right next to the exit. It does sweat me up.
After bought a ride to KLIA via KLIA Transit (cost me only RM2 per way), claimed my 4kg baggage and meet with Khaleed Wajidi for the first time.
We both hang out for a good cup of coffee while waiting for our third men (Wee Han Chiang) to be arrived two hours later. He flew all the way from Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
Once he's here, the 3 of us took a short 3 minutes ride to KLIA for our next flight to Alor Setar, Kedah via KLIA Transit.
Selfie inside KLIA Transit...
I'm soooo excited!
Charging my phone and my powerbank while on our way to Alor Setar.
Once we reached Sultan Abdul Halim Airport, Alor Setar - we were greeted by Mr Yap Chin Kuan from Red Archer Sdn Bhd [the event management who managed this trip]. He then introduced us to two handsome guys, Syamimi and Ganesh who will be following us and recorded most of all our actions.
My thought was like....
"Whuuuuttt??"
Lol... I have no problem with still photos, selfies or wefies but video... I’m very shy...
*cough* lame excuse *cough*
Anyways, the first time shooting took at least 3 to 4 takes before we got an 'Okayed' by our cameraman. I now understand it's not an easy thing to be an actors or actresses. I've read somewhere - to be a good (or natural look) is to be friendly with your camera... well, they're not wrong there!
Finally we all left airport and went to Pekan Rabu (just the outer part) for a quick lunch. I'm still full from my on-board meal so I’ve just ordered a drink.
Sneek peek of Pekan Rabu...

hmm... but then again... not, quite!
You might be asking about Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir now right?
Well as a very busy lady, she hasn't arrived yet. The three of us takes this opportunity to rest a bit and freshen up at our hotel room.
Oh yeah, I’m taking my revenge... jump on my bed and...
#snores.
Meeting her for the first time at the lobby...
My thought was like, 'this is it...'
We all approached her and introduced ourselves. Honestly she is friendly, always smiling - There is no awkward moment at all… I like her!
Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir told us she has a surprise... and with that we hopped in our ride and left the hotel.
Around tenminutess later, we've reached Seri Mentaloon... the official residence for Chief Minister of Kedah, Dato' Seri Mukhriz Mahathir. 😱
At the door, Datin Paduka Norzieta Zakaria welcomed us in this old but really lovely building. This huge mansion was not occupied since SEVEN CMs before him and before Dato’ Seri Mukhriz and his family moved in – some renovation has happened and the outcome… truly nice! I’m glad I’m well dressed… or I’m sure kena from my mader [Read: Mother] punyalaaa… hahaha
While Marina talking with her sister-in-law, the three of us take our sweet time looking around the living room… and seriously, Khaleed is actually looking for Tun M!! #ROFL [Well it’s not really the purpose of this trip anyways… hahahaha]
steal a selfie with Marina Mahathir as my background... ngeeeeee~♥
My first photo with Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir... wuuuhhhuuuu!!
Not long after that, Dato’ Seri Mukhriz coming down to greeted us... Once Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir done introduced us to her youngest brother, I asked Dato’ Seri Mukhriz for a selfie… He is very nice man... really down to earth… he even asked me where to look! #Terharu
Anyways, as Malays tradition – whenever guest visited our home, we must treat them – usually with hot drinks and some dessert or snacks. The whole of us are invited to the dining hall for some refreshment. While at that, Dato’ Seri Mukhriz told us some stories about Kedah, mainly about the very old Kedah compare to other states in Malaysia and about old buildings in Kedah especially the old palace. For that second I felt like listening to my fader [Read : Father] – he also usually will tell some stories about Kuching city in that tone.
Dato’ Seri Mukhriz also recommended us to try some place for good food. I didn’t listen to most of his stories as I’m busy taking photos... #guiltyascharge
He even offered if we wanted to watch Kedah vs Kelantan match later… As much as the three of us wanted to nodded [I don't know about Khaleed but I’m a big fan of football/soccer | Some of NTGravitians might already know I’m a big fan of Liverpool FC and Sarawak FA|. To add the heat, Wee Han Chiang is Kelantan's supporter too!] and yet, the purpose of this trip is to be with Datin Paduka Marina so it’s her call… #fingercrossed
Unfortunately Datin Paduka Marina is not a football fan… and we respect that.
...or we should just tell her... #weshould
Not to take more of Dato’ Seri Mukhriz and his wife’s time as they needs to be at the Stadium before the kick-off, the rest of us heads to the-famous-must-go Nasi Lemak Royale!
...but first....
Post by Marina Mahathir.
Just before we left Seri Mentaloon...
It's a no no for picking flowers or plants in official residence's garden.
Thank you Dato’ Seri Mukhriz and Datin Paduka Norzieta for having us…!
On our way there, a Get-to-know-each-other-more-than-just-a-name session begins… senang cerita ice-breaking laa… so from here onwards I will addressed her as Marina Mahathir, ‘kay…?
So here we are at Nasi Lemak Royale Pantai Johor… please don’t be confused, I’m not talking about beach in Johor and there’s no beach at this place. Only name…
… Dinner time…!!
At first I was a bit blurred about the food but when we started to queue up, there are local couple [who happen to recognised Marina Mahathir and start to have a small talk with her, in local Kedah!] give us more info about this MUST TRY food whenever you are in Kedah!! I also learn from the crowd there are a lot of Nasi Lemak Royale branches in Kedah, you won't miss it!
Khaleed and Wee Han Chiang....
Although the name is Nasi Lemak [ the usual is rice that cooked with coconut milk and served with egg , anchovies and sambal – the one that I ate earlier in my flight] - this not it…! The rice they served is yellow in colour [ more like Nasi Minyak commonly served during weddings] and they will add few types of sauce.
All I know from the guy who served me – all those sauces are made based from curry but with different flavour. After that he will add two more sauces – a red and black colour. If you didn't like spicy food please tell them… like I did..! You may ask for some veggie too…
Your plate will look very messy [depend on how the crowd…] but the outcome? Yummy!!
If Nasi Lemak Royale is not in your list – there are few stalls available serving western food, malay food or Indonesian food… so no worries. The place is acceptably clean and the parking space is quite big. Surau also available.
Open from 5pm till late... don't panic if you see a long queue… it's normal...
After that, it’s time to go back to our hotel… It’s not our time to sleep yet… we have dues to pay… LOL!!
I get to go first...
See ya tomorrow!!
NTGravity : Lying in my bed still blushed from that video shooting… huahuahua…
